It seems the credit repair industry is getting crazy these days. Most of my clients within the past 4 weeks have come to me because of these mortgages. It amazes me that very few of these clients did not know about this major detail. They thought they were going to be free and clear and then all of sudden, BOOM. A lot of my clients ask about whether they should close their current accounts when not in use. The answer is quite simple, NO! Why would anyone who has established good credit on a account want to do something so foolish? My guess is that they are not well educated on credit and how their FICO score would change. That will only lower your score most of the time within reason. People are mislead or misinformed on this not so good idea. The reason is education and there is not enough out there to provide them with the knowledge. FICO Scores

These scores control our financial aspects of our lives on a daily basis. But we as consumers can take control on what our scores truly reflect on our credit reports. Pay your bills on time, do not apply for credit unless absolutely necessary, keep your debt to ratio under 35%, never close accounts in good standing, and live within your means. It is mostly common sense that we should use but choose not to do so. It is quite simple but most people that do not, make it harder for themselves. Thank you! Neal

This is like your Bible, only you do not carry it around. It tells you your whole credit history, bad and good. You are judged in the financial world we live in, on this alone. Without it, you would not be able to purchase most assets today.

The word credit, means power. With it, you can almost anything you want in life assuming if you have good credit. Without it, you feel worthless and will not be able to achieve or make it hard to purchase the necessities or luxury items in life, generally speaking. The days of paying with cash only are gone.

So if you value your credit worthiness, you will TAKE the time and effort to annually or check your credit reports often in order for you to be safe in a very cruel world we live in which our credit means everything we do in this day and age of financial credit worthiness.
